Sire : J McCaffery’s Blue

Dam : out of Aiden Gallagher’s Bill

Jonna was gifted to me on arrival in Ireland. Unfortunately she became very ill with Parvo only a few days later due to a forgotten second vaccination. After spending many hours with her and nursing her back from what I had thought would be a fight she would not win, she became the most special dog I ever had.

She was a great bitch, very fast and with an unbelievable amount of power and push. She would stand up to anything and knew no fear. Great on the hill, in rough work or on the trial field.

Unfortunately her registration card never was applied for, this resulting in her not being registered.

Just before I was going to Register her on Merit she broke her leg badly during lambing

Her first Novice trial was a hill trial known as the Windy Gap in Ireland. She got placed in her class.

In 2008 she ran her first Open in Wales just before the World trial against all of the top handlers and their dogs that came from overseas, Ireland included and came 4th in a field of about a 100+ dogs. Her second Open a day later she came 2nd, again the same competitors in a 100+ field of dogs.

She is now retired due to her leg that still gives her bother when she works sheep too much.

But I still think the world of this little bitch that will always be special.

She now helps Wim when he goes shepherding, just as a little back-up and loves it!

Both her daughters Kyra and Pixi are great bitches, in work and trials. Pixi is now Wim’s main workdog and Kyra is unfortunately recovering from a major injury.
